How the date is found

Adding days is plain counting on the calendar: the calculator moves forward one day at a time, rolling over month and year ends and counting February 29 in leap years. Weeks are seven days each. Months keep the day of the month and shorten it only when the target month is too short.

Worked example

90 days from October 12, 2026:

  1. October has 31 days, so 19 days take you to October 31. 71 left.
  2. November has 30 days. 41 left.
  3. December has 31 days. 10 left.
  4. Ten days into January: Sunday, January 10, 2027.

Where this comes up

  • Deadlines stated in days: a 30-day return window, 60 days' notice, a 90-day trial.
  • Counting back: the date 14 days before a trip, or six months before a passport expires.
  • Working days: "ships in 10 business days" from the order date.

Frequently asked questions

What date is 100 days from today?

The table on this page lists it, worked out from today's date on your device. For any other number, type it into the calculator.

Is today counted as day 1?

No. Tomorrow is 1 day from today. If a deadline counts today as the first day, enter one day fewer.

How are months added?

The calculator keeps the same day of the month. When the target month is shorter, it uses that month's last day: one month from January 31 is February 28, or February 29 in a leap year.

How are working days counted?

Saturdays and Sundays are skipped. Public holidays are not, because they differ by country and employer; use the days between dates calculator to check a span against US federal holidays.
